Hello, I’m Teddy.

Somewhere between
the glitter
and the truth.

Teddy Wonder is a Chicago-rooted poet and musician whose songs move between cinematic art-pop, folk-soul, and the darker edges of electronic music. Warmth, wit, and a little glamour meet a serious question: how do we stay human when the world keeps trying to tell us who to be?

The man behind the music

CHICAGO ROOTS. A WORLD OF HIS OWN.

Come a little closer

Music · Poetry · An imagined world

A voice of his own.

Teddy Wonder is a Chicago-rooted poet and musician, with Logan Square at the center of his world. His songs move between the closeness of an acoustic guitar, the pulse of electronic music, and the sweep of cinematic art-pop. The sound can change; the voice remains warm, searching, and unmistakably his own.

A name with a story.

The name carries a little of the story. Wonder translates Maravilla, his family name, into something you can feel as well as say. Teddy keeps the invitation personal: a strong melody, an image that stays with you, and enough room to bring your own life to the song.

Room for light & shadow.

Light and shadow run through this music, but so do humor, tenderness, and delight. From the defiance of Head in the Sun to the shelter of The Garden That Remembers, Teddy makes room for beauty without pretending that life is simple.

The first guitar · 2005

A guitar called June.

When Teddy was twelve, his mother Eileen bought him a used acoustic guitar. He named it June. He still keeps it safe in his Chicago home: a way back to the boy who was learning to write a song.
